Ulusub for sale

I have a mid handle Ulusub for sale. I havenít ever used it. Iím selling it because the person who sold it to me online told me it was a rear handle and never sent me photos of the underside of the gun. The photo he sent was a top view looking at the rail. The gun measures 60Ē from but to tip. Im looking for a rear handle and that is the biggest reason Iím selling. Gun has typical boat rash. There is one spot on the gun that has a pretty good scrape. Im happy to give more info over the phone and send picture. DM me for more info. I paid $650 for it. Iíd sell it for the same price plus shipping just to cover my costs.

That sure looks like a rear handle Ulusub to me, maybe an older model. But I could be wrong.

Re: Ulusub for sale

Its all in the definition. Per Ulusub's website it appears to be a mid-handle:
http://www.ulusub.com/spearguns

Per Darrell Wong's website, it is possibly a rear handle plus: http://www.wongguns.com/select.php

1. REAR HANDLED - These are the traditional styled spear guns that have the handles at the rear like a Euro styled gun. This is an easy loading gun from either the hip or chest. This is a popular gun for entry level to advanced divers and scuba divers. This handle placement is the easiest to learn to aim with. The disadvantage is that once you get past a certain length, maneuverability can be an issue. For scuba divers, it is easier to hip load so many scuba divers choose the rear handled guns.

2. MID HANDLED - The mid handled spear guns are designed to give spear guns extra maneuverability due to the pivot point being closer to the mid line. This is a great advantage to have when tracking game and maneuvering the gun under ledges, through kelp and around wrecks and pilings. Also, the mechanism placement at the rear enables the spear gun to have the maximum length of rubber pull and a longer shaft. This equates to an increase in power and distance. This gun is usually loaded on the chest. This is popular with advanced divers who want maneuverability and power.

3. REAR HANDLE PLUS - The rear handle plus is your traditional rear handle styled gun with the increased power and distance that the mid handled guns have. This is because the mechanism has been moved towards the rear. It is loaded just like a mid handled gun, chest loaded. You have the ease of aiming along with the maximum power of a mid handled gun... the best of both worlds.

Re: Ulusub for sale

It's clearly got a pushrod to a remote trigger, but yeah, not exactly a true mid handle.

Beautiful gun tho, glws.

Re: Ulusub for sale

Hi, just seeing this. That's a 150MH. Great WSB Gun. 60" Total Length. 3 Bands.

regards Mid HAndle vs. Rear Plus. My understanding is that most Rear Handle Plus guns really refers to an added few inches of Wood behind the handle and a standard mech placement directly over the Handle. It's used for Loading and Aiming. A Mid Handle, is defined more by a PushRod going back to the Mech than the handle actually being in the middle of the gun.. For me, I like a Mid HAndle to fit so I can pull on handle and the butt of the gun goes into my bicep so I can Maneuver the gun this way. Ofcourse as the gun get's longer, this measurement stays fixed. A 36" Mid Handle, will have the same distance between HAndle and Butt as a 72" Mid HAndle.
