I met him once when he came up to me at a meeting on the Gulf coast. he was humble and very nice.

We all die and face God some day. Personally, I pray for God's mercy for Seatux just as I have for Marcus. Though to be honest, I will miss Marcus a lot more.

Life is too short to hate anyone but traitors.

It's also uncertain. There are no guarantees that good ol Seatux won't get to gloat over my carcass, too.

Had two cousins die in the last couple years in their 50s.Both brother in laws have almost died several times and are younger than me.Several friends also having multiple heart attacks or liver/kidney failure.All of them younger than me.My sons brother in law had a heart attack at 40 and had to be defibbed to bring him back.Crazy.
All my buddies older than me(late 60s and 70s)are still running around and enjoying life.Moderation seems to be the key is a line in a Buffett song.Seems to be true.I have been to way too many funerals.

Yes, Mark Franey aka marcus did pass away recently. He and I were good dive buddies 20-something years ago back when spearboard was in its infancy...maybe 2003 or so and participated in the inaugural spearboard open, several st pete open tournaments etc. He did have some demons and at times made it difficult to tolerate him, but he had a heart of gold. I lost contact with him probably 15 years ago. In June I got a phone call from a mutual friend that used to work with him and is still in St Pete area letting me know he had passed. Marcus died way too young as a very sick man and will be missed regardless of anything.
