The Catch of a Lifetime! - They did it!
Well, they did it!!
Some of you may remember a thread I started in March 2008 congratulating two of our favorite Spearboarders, Jess (Swimsuit) and Jeff (Keezdiver) on their engagement! http://www.spearboard.com/showthread...catch+lifetime I was honored when the happy couple asked me to officiate the ceremony which was held at Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas last Saturday, July 19! It was a beautiful day in the Tortugas and while Mother Nature stepped in and prevented diving in the afternoon, we had a great time spending the day together snorkeling and cavorting! Mr. and Mrs. Simonds had a lovely, small ceremony that included immediate family and best friends, and was complete with the bride sporting a white bikini under her gown and passing around the champagne bottle for a swig! Congrats you two! A lifetime of happiness to you both!!

Wow, I'm from Cali, but it seems like yesterday when I saw your posts on spearboard for the first time and subsequent meeting each other, reports of fun times out with chicks getting wild in bars, diving etc..I can tell that what you guys have is for real!
Best of luck and I hope you live to see your grandchildren get married one day, dive on.. |

Re: The Catch of a Lifetime! - They did it!
It was a marvelous day that I am so thankful to have been a part of. Jeff & Jess are 2 of my closest friends & a better match just is not possible. Jen & I will be forever grateful for our invitation.
The setting was awesome: on top of a tower at Fort Jefferson with a key & beautiful water in the background. Lisa (Petra) did an outstanding job of officiating. She wrote some very moving remarks that were delivered flawlessly. And we all know her ability with a camera. All in all just a magnificent experience. |
