Any tips/thread on a DIY Floatline Adapter like the Neptonic model ?

That looks nice, but you can do the same with a piece of bungee cord attached to your shooting line. Just make sure to clip the floatline to the shooting line itself and not the bungee, which will go directly to the line release.
I know Bill McIntire posted some pictures here, but he left this forum some time ago... Anyway, it has a name and it is "Hawaiian break away".

I attach my float line to my shooting line and just put a rubber band to line to line release. No clips or anything else to deal with.

I like the 1400 pound spectra line.... attached to a 250 pound, probably nicked mono shooting line lol. I guess we could use large diameter cable shooting line!
