It has been nice and calm today and yesterday. Wind will be out of the West at 10 tomorrow. We have had a lot of rain lately, and wind. I will go out tomorrow and let you know how it is.

top to bottom in 30 feet at clearwater reef today. 3-4 foot swells but viz was 25 feet. A couple of others said it was even better thurs.

I tried to go check it out yesterday. Didn't want to get beat up by the 3 to 4 footers and turned around.

Can't wait for this wind to ease up!

10/14/11, 12 miles west of Anna Maria, 4 to 5's with north wind at 15+
Vis was 20 to 30 at 50 ft. Second drop 5', 3rd drop 20 to 25.
Limit on hogs and gags x 3. some mangos, red group, and flounder.
Great day just bumpy. Looks like it will be crappy for at least a week.

Can anyone Pleaseeeee give me an update this week? Been out lately? We are wanting to dive/spear the Gulf BAD this weekend, 30 + miles out of Homosassa. Any vis/sea reports would be muchly appreciated

30knt west winds last night...save yourself and wait for a better weekend. The seas will calm down by then but the damage is already done. It got ROUGH!

Its the entire coast lol...I went out of anclote just before the blow and vis was decent in shallow but it blew just as hard there as it did in naples so right now its nasty just about anywhere. Its killing me because I am dying to get out!!! I was considering driving to your coast in case it was better over there this weekend

and thats what we are looking at, going out Jupiter inlet, and can get lobsters over here, have some great spots. But there is NO FISH

but I just wanna get wet

so either way, Im goin diving, LOL

Went out 10 miles off sarasota. 50 feet and the water was gray green didnt even bother going in...winds is still up 15 ne today

This is my first winter season diving. how long does it take after a strong cold front like this one for the visibility to get good? I was going to go tomorrow but since its still blowing I imagine the vis will suck.
