Re: Welcome Lurkers!
Gutshot,
Thanks, I have dove tanks on the rigs in past years, but we'll freedive for snaps and sheepheads occasionaly. Truthfully I'd do it more if someone dove with me on a regular basis, but for the past few years been stuck on mainly hook and line. Anyhow I'm all about hooking up for some barleypops and getting back into spearing. Chris.. |

Re: Welcome Lurkers!
Hello!!! I guess I'm a quasi-lurker. I used to be signed up as deepseawolf, but when my computer fried, I lost my info. Now I have different email accounts as wll and can't access the old stuff.
Vizziegoth the Phoenix Spear-Phisher Arisen from depths of old, renewed to post again. (still smelling ike fish of old though) Catch me on Scubaboard.com as Deepseawolf. No more lurkin' I wanna kill sump'n! My wife is a scuba diver and is now an avid outdoorswoman. She has NO idea what lies ahead in the realms I dwell. For our 5 year anniversary, she wanted me to take her to the beach. She loves catching blue crab by hand (dipnet) as they walk to the beach. We fill coolers in short order. She has seen the fish pix on your posts and is encouraging me to take her fishing again, and to events to meet others. Her b-day is the 20th of May,... HMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonder where WE'LL be?! Looking forward to meeting a lot of you in person, the rest,... I'll scuttle the ship to keep u off of it! |

Re: Welcome Lurkers!
Well groupergrabber, you made it to your first post! Job well done! I was glad to help with the registration issue. Now, as we discussed, use the region you live in to post searches for fellow divers. You will probaly get a good response, especially since you have a boat. These guys and girls prefer boats to shore diving. LOL Good luck!

Re: Welcome Lurkers!
Tony, I registered my daughter today and faxed the release form. She is bugging me as to what the time frame for acceptance is. Her screen name is Huntress.

Re: Welcome Lurkers!
I have to say to all lurkers, Spearboard is not only a wealth of knowledge for the sport of spearing fish but a huge bank of good people most of which will reach out to newbies and take them under their wing. you give respect and you will get the same in return. I have been on here awhile now and have to say there are so many good people on here that have helped me in many aspects of diving and spearing and I have met so many nice people that have had me along on their boats for awesome trips that simply would not have happened if not for this place. Why wait to sign up it costs nothing and they do not send you any email.
Andy

Re: Welcome Lurkers!
I have just joined spearboard after meeting Andy last night. I want to thank him for his presentation, which was very well done and obviously the result of much preparation. I was very sorry that there was not enough time to view the video, which my wife, Linda, and I were sitting there hoping to see.
Thanks again, Jimmy Thomas |

Re: Welcome Lurkers!
I am glad you enjoyed it and I hope you enjoy your spearboard experience. there are many on here that will answer your questions you might have. just remember not to take any comments too personal on here we all like to have some fun at times and sometimes it is hard to judge the tone of any comments some might make. feel free to send me and personal messages if you like to. I am sure we will be covering spearing again either in that club or we might have to get our own club and run it like we want.

Re: Welcome Lurkers!
Hello. I'm Pat, long time spearo, short time lurker. I think it's easier to get to the bottom of 130fsw and shoot fish in the head or sweetspot in the tail for AJs, than to post for the first time. Looking forward to meeting and diving with most of you.
