Lingcod in Puget Sound

Just as I was launching my kayak a fishing boat comes into the marina with a huge 36" Lingcod (H&L). It had to be at least 20 pounds.

I shot a small one, but it was enough for dinner for me and my wife.

Tremendous visibility this morning at 8:00 a.m. around high tide with no current--the best I've seen. I saw about 3 dozen Rockfish. I spend two hours in the water and covered the length of the breakwater, but only saw one small Lingcod.

Re: Lingcod in Puget Sound

Good report and nice video, Tom. The reverse sequence on the ling capture was an interesting edit. That big ling was probably taken by the H&L guys deeper than we can dive.
