Capt TJ Shea on the 2 Shea www.fishanddivetampa.com

Usually leaves out of Clearwater or Anclote. Runs a 31' southport thats fast and comfortable. He'll put you on the fish and all you got to do is starting firing.

A Deep Blue Dive Center - Key Colony Beach, Near Marathon in the keys. Its a regular dive shop but they welcome people that want to go spearfishing.

Re: Spear Friendly Charters in Florida

I have just moved here to Palm Beach from Rome, Italy. I would like some information about spearfishing here. Is there anywhere you can go spearfishing right from the beach. I don't have a boat, but would be very happy to go hunting with anyone interested. Is there a club I could join in the Palm Beach area?

Thanks and ciao,

Antonio

Here is a local freedive club that I recently became a member of. You also need to check out the Florida freediver dive store located on US 1 between Riviera Beach and Northlake Boulevard

I can no longer edit the original post here.

All new additions will either have to be like Pats and hope someone sees them after reading four pages or maybe a moderator will extract all the WORKING links from some of the above suggestions and update the first page.

It does need to be updated.

Re: Spear Friendly Charters in Florida

Years ago there was a Capt. Banny in Marathon. Any idea how to get in touch with him? Any idea who he recommended for diving?

Thanks,

Chad

Re: Spear Friendly Charters in Florida

WOW! Thanks guys for all the great tips. I know a couple more on the Gulf coast, the Plunger (Capt. Rod Bumgardiner) out of Clearwater Marina and Sea Fox (Capt. Herman Maddox) out of Dunedin are both great captains and very friendly to spear fishers.
