Kayak Fish Finder

Search is throwing this error

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/spearboa/public_html/search.php on line 1160

So I figure I'll ask. Looking for a cheap but worth it fish finder for my yak. Something for depth, structure, etc. Not really looking to drill holes but not completely against it either. Guys with the fish finders, do you actually use it or am I getting gear happy.

Looks perfect, I was thinking GPS, but figured it would make it too pricey.

Re: Kayak Fish Finder

I'm using a lowrance elite 5 chirp. It works great so far. Maps different tracks you've taken, contour lines along the sea bed, GPS... everything.

Bought it from OEX in Sunset Beach. Andy installed it and the whole thing is seamless. No water leaks, corrosion issues... nothing.

I have to agree with above - the lowrance elite series is the best for your buck regarding what you are looking for

I would love MORE PICS with the mention of installs. Being a visual thinker, I see things and can figure it out from there.

How are the Elite series in direct sunlight? Extra bright screens? IU haven't started the search yet.
