Re: Sup
Got the lights in!A two pack easily lights the whole board if you put one in front and back. They also have left or right mode and strobe mode.Going again tonight to get decent pics.Should be able to see lobster on the flat with the lights.

Re: Sup
Yeah,We wanted to fish late so I got some 97cent Walmart lights and put it in a 3/4"pvc pipe and zip tied it.I just got some Surfsto headlamps that mount on the GoPro mounts or the headband.Bought a bag of cyalume sticks too.The Supglo underwater lights are too bright above water.

Re: Sup
Ordering my ATX Navigator this week.Carries around #400.Should be able to put my gear on it and a cooler with plenty of flotation.I maxed out the other board with me at #230 and cast net and fishing gear.At 12'6" its still only #33.Light enough I should be able to carry it for another 15-20 years.

Re: Sup
I dive off an inflatable SUP when I fly in or need to pack light. Its easy to pump up and pack around, and a hell of a lot better than kicking out. Takes some getting used to but a solid dive platform. When its really windy I just chill knees down and paddle like a canoe.

I used to bring a my biller, dive flat, tiny ass coolers and a bungie net, and take my bike to the beach at the end of Duval Street, my buddy would hook me up on a SUP and I would shore dive and load up on lobsters, hogs and snapper!

Re: Sup
I dove for years off a square piece of styrofoam. We would dumpster dive till we found a piece around 6"thick and about 4x4 in size.Burn a hot piece of pipe through for a dive flag and a few for anchoring with our coolwhip container formed anchor. It floated two of us when I weighed about #180.You can dive off anything that floats.I had a sling with three nice stainless shafts and my original steel one that had all sorts of bends in it.It doesnt take a lot of money to go spearfishing.
I like the SUPs because of the versatility.I caught a wave from a wake boat going by on the lake the other day.Wave wasnt big but was enough for a little free ride back to the ramp.So far everyone we have let try them love the boards. No motors, noise, registration or crazy maintenance.I guess when I get back from Montana Ill get some starboard and build a rack for my dive gear on the SUP.Bungees everywhere is aggravating for me.

Re: Sup
You ougtta see the goofy rig I just made on my Mantis thread. Hahah
But that totally reminds me of the time I found my dads 2 pack of spray foam as a kid...I literally made a mountain of the stuff on the garage floor and ripped it off to make a pool float out of it. I still think the residue from that project is still on the floor to this day
