All About Pole Spears & Slings What is it about that traditional method of the early hunter/gatherers under the water? These devices are indeed interesting and effective. |

Video: Pole Spear Floatline and breakaway set up
With the Riffe Pole Spear we designed it with deeper diving and pelagics in mind so that when you shoot a fish even if he runs you can still land him by fighting it with the float line and buoy.
With this set up you can shoot anything that comes through and with the Riffe re-enforced bands any pole spear can be set up easily for this. The Riffe one though is purpose built for being versatile for all types of fish and this video shows you how to set it up and the little nuances that make it so effective. And there is some awesome footage of shooting a big hog at distance. Riffe Pole Spear How To with Cameron Kirkconnell - YouTube

Re: Video: Pole Spear Floatline and breakaway set up
Awesome. For some reason the search button for me doesn't work, and I have been hesitant to post a new post about this.
this is the error I get: "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 24 bytes) in /home/spearboa/public_html/includes/class_core.php on line 3289" For the float line to pole spear attachment, you have a blue piece of "reinforced rubber". Where can I find that? Will it work on a JBL spear? Thank you for the video! |

Re: Video: Pole Spear Floatline and breakaway set up
The problem I have been having is loosing my spear on the shot and not being able to recover it in very deep water with full breakaway
