Re: 200 ft dive
Great work Butcher.
With all those fish laying around, I was expecting a goliath or shark to show up as in that commercial spearfishing reality show "Catching Hell." Did you see any goliaths or sharks at all? Thanks for sharing, Tony |

Re: 200 ft dive
I can't say I have seen the show... But I have heard mixed reviews. We rarely see goliaths that deep where we dive. If I recall correctly one of the dives from that day a mako took about 10 lbs off of one of my blackbellys when I sent it up. I saw him circling on my deco stop, but he didn't want to come say hello.

Re: 200 ft dive
Butcher,
Were you on the south piece of Lois Dubois wreck or on the north section. Was hoping to see what always hangs me between the two sections when I hook and line it. I ask Jeff to check out what's just north of the northern section, I have always done real well there. Joe. |

Re: 200 ft dive
Butcher, explain to us shallow guys .....
What was up with the current (or lack there of) on that dive? and was that why you chose that day/time to dive deep? thx |

Re: 200 ft dive
Looks like my kind of dive. Great conditions.
To answer the question just asked, conditions out deep can vary vastly. It could be cold and dark, could be clear and warm. Could be zero current, could be ripping on the top and not the bottom, could have 5 kts. I like a light current when diving deep wrecks. |

Re: 200 ft dive
On that dive there was about a knot of current. We dive with current up to 4 kts as long as it's calm enough.
