Wreck of the schooner RED WING, lost in 1896 with reported Spanish gold aboard...
Here is some opportunistic GoPro footage from the wreck we dived this past weekend that I believe to be the schooner RED WING, resting in 340 feet of water off Destin, Florida. We start at the stern and work forward along the center line, panning towards port. After quickly looking at the demolished bows, we head aft along the port hull back to the shot line.
I initially thought the footage was plagued by abundant low-light noise, but that is actually the abundant suspended silt that made the site very dark and misty/murky.... Enjoy! https://youtu.be/-aWSg9Df0C4
