Re: Warden Stamp ????

I'd consider it if it was actually attached to my license. Not because I believe it would be well spent but because I've seen the chp license plate frames work wonders. Why didn't they just make it go into covering medical for wardens or something that I could actually support.

Why would the warden go easy on you even if he saw the stamp? The money's not going to him/her...

Brought to you by the same people who already stole the non-voluntary $7 lobster report card money for a state slush fund

Re: Warden Stamp ????

Not as much as a vengeance plan, and not because of the cost. I have limited time to spearfish and 99% of my time spearfishing is in areas that will be closed because of the MLPAs. I will now just consolidate my spearfishing into longer trips outside of California rather than just a couple of hours on a Saturday morning.

That was my first thought............the state can go f*** themselves, Arnold too
I absolutely would have "volunteered" an extra $5 prior to the BS of the MLPA and the way we have been completely sold out.......not now, kiss my a**.

Re: Warden Stamp ????

I support the wardens like I support the homeless. Have helped out out with time and money (and donated video costs) to solid organizations I know and trust, but I don't freely give money that could just feed destructive crack habits.

No way I'd donate money so CA State so can come up with more schemes like MLPA that will take away more public access to coastal fishing. I'd rather donate to something like the white seabass program.

I totally agree. These are the yahoos pushing for the extreme closures, let them fund the DFG.

Re: Warden Stamp ????

It used to be that the DFG were hunters and fishermen themselves, now it seems they're nothing but a bunch of enviro wackos who really just as soon close everything to everyone rather than do their job and manage the resource based upon REAL SCIENCE. Why would anyone even BUY a fishing license if they can't fish anywhere????? Let alone the phony stamp??? DUH!!!

Re: Warden Stamp ????

The wardens seem to be against the closures for now since they know they can't enforce them (they aren't really allowed to talk about their beliefs about it). But I'm pretty sure the wardens as a whole have sent a letter asking for a pause in the process until more funding is available. Now the higher ups in DFG seem to like the closures for some strange reason, oh yeah thats right they were appointed by Arnold to push this through.

Since you are reading this thread Pat,
What do you think about the Warden Stamp?
What will it do for you?
Will it help you be a better Warden?

I like others have no problem helping the DFG but do not believe this money will go where they say it will. Let alone do what they say it will do.

Through this whole process I have not heard a peep from the Wardens Association about what this will do for them. Why not?

I would really like to hear a Wardens opinion.

Congrats by the way, I have not talked to you since you made the switch.

Re: Warden Stamp ????

I would readily donate for this stamp. In fact I have a warden stamp already from my base GW. It gave me a chance to meet and talk to my local GW. It's required here on camp pendleton to fish tho. If they in fact have you somehow get the stamp actually from the GW it would greatly improve the decrease of poachers and possibly educate the ignorant as in my case.
