Stolen Blue Water Gun- Please Help

I was going diving today 10/11/09 2pm. Meet my buddy on Lake Street in Encinitas were the boat is kept. I had too much to carry up the driveway and we were leaving right away. Long story short, walked down to grap my stuff 5 minutes later and its gone!

Stolen items:
65" custom made teak gun 3/8 shaft, Alexander Mech, Potts reel, 6 bands, has red shooting line. Gun was in a custom black bag the stuff travel surfboard bags are made of about 65" long.

Size 42-44 Black Omer Fins were also in the bag.

20" x 65" Monster Fish Bag (with 4 beers)

Neopreme weight belt with white knife attached.

This gun will be hard to sell, to just anyone its BIG. Someone will have to contact someone that knows something about spearfishing to get rid of it. If anyone hears of any gear matching this description PLEASE let me know. Reward, dive trips, you name it. My friend spent about a month everyday after work to build this for me.

Hopefully it'll pop up on craigslist... also try calling local pawnshops.

If you find the guy who stile it, post his address on spearboard

It'll pop up on craigslist for sure, make sure that you keep it really quiet have the police meet you at his address when you go to "buy" it. If any spearboard guys start emailing him as soon as they see it on craigslist that thing is going to vanish and you'll never see it again...

I agree with the craigslist or Ebay theory.
Otherwise, it would be damn near impossible to find a buyer for such specialized items.

With the economy having gone down the shitter, and unemployment going up, expect this kinda stuff to become more commonplace. Watch your shit, never leave anything unattended!

you might take a close nighttime look in the neighborhood...thief might be living within eyesight of your gear location and seized the moment to hit...I would be looking over some back fences as well as online...

Bummer Todd, I'll keep an eye out, and check the Play It Agains...they seem to get stuff that the employees can't ID...sort of the crackheads pawnshop.

Screw the cops, I would stay away from his house (in case he has a family) meet him somewhere, throat punch that chump til he hits his knees, then take your shaft back and ankle whip that bastard so he will never wanna touch another speargun...or anything else that is not his!

That sucks man! I know that if anyone here hears or sees anything you will be notified. Good luck with that or those assholes and if you do find out then maybe you should repost and we can give them a nice gesture on behalf of us spearos.
